I feel you on the tile cutter fiasco—been there myself. Plumbing's definitely another beast though. I remember tackling my bathroom sink pipes thinking it'd be straightforward. Watched a couple tutorials, felt confident, but once I got under there, it was a maze of unexpected fittings and weird angles. Ended up triple-checking every connection because leaks are no joke... Glad you got your boiler sorted without major issues. Always better safe than soggy floors.

Yeah, plumbing always looks simple until you're elbows-deep in fittings. I once had a quick faucet swap turn into a half-day ordeal because of some weird metric threading—lesson learned, always expect the unexpected with pipes...

Metric fittings can definitely throw you off, but honestly, it's usually the older imperial stuff that gives me the real headaches. Ever tried replacing a valve on an old cast iron radiator? You think you've got it measured right, then suddenly you're dealing with threads that haven't been standard since your granddad's day. Metric at least tends to be consistent once you figure out what you're working with.

Also, do you guys really find faucet swaps tricky? Most modern faucets are pretty straightforward if you've got the right adapters handy. Maybe it's just me, but boilers and heating circuits—especially when you're retrofitting or troubleshooting someone else's DIY mess—are way more likely to turn into a full-day puzzle. Faucets seem tame by comparison...or am I missing something here?

Couldn't agree more. Faucets are usually straightforward, but boilers...I've spent entire weekends untangling previous tenants' creative plumbing "solutions." Faucets don't haunt my dreams—boilers definitely do.

Fair points, but honestly:

- Faucets can be sneaky too—ever tried replacing an old one and found rusted bolts underneath?
- Boilers are intimidating, sure, but at least they're usually well-documented.
- DIY faucet jobs can get weirdly creative...just saying.
