I've been using one of those slim rolling carts for a few months now. Easy enough to assemble, but here's the thing—stick heavier stuff at the bottom or it'll wobble like crazy. For towels, I'd probably trust a corner cabinet more...just feels sturdier overall.

Pedestal sinks can be great for smaller bathrooms since they free up floor space, but storage definitely becomes an issue. I've installed quite a few over the years, and the number one complaint is always losing cabinet space. Your experience with the slim rolling cart is pretty common—those carts are handy but can be unstable, especially if overloaded or unevenly loaded. If you're set on a pedestal sink, consider installing wall-mounted shelves or cabinets nearby. A sturdy corner cabinet, as you mentioned, is a solid choice for towels and heavier items. Another practical option is recessed shelving if your bathroom walls allow it. A client of mine recently went that route—built-in shelves between studs—and it turned out both functional and visually appealing. Just something to think about before you commit to the swap...

Pedestal sinks definitely have their charm, especially in tight spaces. Your recessed shelving suggestion is spot-on—it's surprising how much storage you can squeeze out of those wall cavities. Good call mentioning stability issues with carts, too...seen that happen more than once myself.

Pedestal sinks are nice visually, but honestly, I think their practicality is overrated. Sure, recessed shelves help, but they're not always feasible depending on your wall structure or plumbing layout. Have you considered a slim vanity instead? Even the smallest ones can give you hidden storage without sacrificing much floor space. Just something to think about before committing—I've seen plenty of pedestal sink regrets when folks realize they miss having a spot to stash cleaning supplies or extra towels...

Yeah, learned that the hard way myself. Installed a pedestal sink in my tiny half-bath last year, and at first it seemed perfect—clean lines, opened up the space nicely. But after a few months, reality hit: nowhere to put anything. Ended up squeezing in a narrow shelf unit nearby, which kinda defeated the whole minimalist vibe I was going for. Definitely weigh your storage needs carefully before jumping in.
