Had a similar headache a couple years back—honestly, grading tweaks alone didn't do much for me either. Ended up biting the bullet and installing a sump pump. Not exactly cheap or fun, but it was a total game changer. Before that, every heavy rain had me running downstairs with towels and buckets...not exactly my idea of a relaxing evening.
Also seconding the downspout extension suggestion—it's surprising how much difference a few extra feet can make. And if you haven't already, check your gutters themselves. Mine were clogged with leaves and debris, causing overflow right next to the foundation. Cleaning them out regularly helped more than I expected.
Good luck—basement flooding is no joke, but you'll get there eventually.
