Yeah, I hear you—those faucet filters are just in the way if you do a lot of dishes. Under sink models definitely keep things tidier. Just gotta double-check for leaks after install and make sure everything’s tightened up right. I’ve seen a few folks rush it and end up with water damage under the cabinet... not fun. If you’re careful during setup, though, they’re pretty much set-and-forget. Good call making the switch.
Had a customer once who thought “hand tight” meant “barely touching”—came back a week later and their cabinet looked like a swimming pool. Under sink filters are great for keeping things neat, but yeah, you’ve gotta really pay attention during install. Countertop ones are easier to swap out, but they’re always in the way when you’re trying to fill a big pot or wash veggies. Guess it’s a trade-off either way... depends how much you trust your own wrench skills.
