Not sure I totally buy that under sink filters are always more trouble. I just installed one last month, and honestly, it was less of a headache than I expected. The connections were pretty straightforward—no leaks so far (knock on wood). Plus, my kitchen’s tiny, so I really didn’t want to give up counter space. I do check under the sink every now and then, just in case, but for me the cleaner look is worth it. Maybe it’s just luck, but so far, no regrets.

I get what you mean—mine wasn’t too bad to install either, just took my time and double-checked everything. I do worry about leaks though, so I keep a towel under there just in case. The hidden setup is definitely a plus for small spaces.

I totally get being nervous about leaks—I'm always half-convinced something's gonna drip the second I walk away. I did the same thing with the towel at first, just to be safe. Do you think the hidden setup is worth the extra hassle, though? I keep wondering if I'd regret not being able to just see everything out in the open if something does go wrong. The space-saving part is tempting, but I keep weighing it against the cost and possible future headaches.

That's exactly my worry. I mean, the under sink ones look cleaner, but if there's a slow leak, you might not notice until you’ve got a warped cabinet or worse. Is it really worth the risk just for a tidier look? I keep thinking—if something fails, would I rather deal with an eyesore or a mess? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but has anyone actually had an under sink filter leak and not catch it right away?

Been there, done that—my cabinet base still has a weird wavy look from an old under sink filter leak. Honestly, countertop filters are ugly, but at least you see every drip. I’ll take ugly over soggy any day.
