Good call on the inline filter—I've seen them save a lot of headaches down the road. Flushing usually helps, but sediment can be stubborn, especially if you're on well water or older city lines. One tip: make sure to check the filter regularly. I've had customers forget, and a clogged filter can actually drop your pressure even more. Quick monthly glance usually does the trick, though...

Monthly? Ha, if only I were that organized. I learned my lesson the hard way—ignored mine for months until my shower turned into a sad drizzle. Thought it was a major plumbing disaster, but nope, just a filter clogged tighter than my arteries after Thanksgiving dinner. Now I set a reminder on my phone every few weeks...and still manage to procrastinate.

Another thing worth checking is your pressure regulator valve (PRV). Mine was ancient and slowly dying without me realizing it. Swapped it out and boom, instant improvement. Might be worth a peek if the filter isn't the culprit.

Good call on the PRV—I replaced mine a while back and it made a noticeable difference. Curious though, has anyone checked their aerators lately? Mine were clogged with sediment and cleaning them out really helped restore pressure.

Yeah, aerators are often overlooked. I usually recommend checking them every few months, especially if your area's prone to sediment buildup. Also, don't forget to shut off the water supply before removing them—learned that the hard way once...

Good tip about shutting off the water first—been there myself, soaked shirt and all. But do you really need to check them every few months? Seems a bit frequent to me. I usually just wait until the pressure drops noticeably...maybe once or twice a year. Has anyone actually seen a big difference doing it more often? Curious if I'm just being lazy or if that's actually enough.
