Seriously, nobody ever told me you're supposed to drain your water heater every year or two. Just found out the hard way when ours started making creepy rumbling noises like it's haunted or something. Turns out, sediment builds up and makes it work harder (and louder). Um, did everyone else know this or am I late to the party again?

Ha, yeah, the first time I heard that noise, I legit thought someone was in the basement. Turns out, even maintenance pros have their "wait...what?" moments. Regular draining definitely helps avoid the haunted house vibe.
