Last weekend, I was feeling pretty proud of myself for finally tackling that old water heater install. Got everything set up, tightened down, and ready to goβor so I thought. I'm upstairs making coffee when suddenly there's this loud crash-bang noise from the basement. Run down there, heart pounding, and there's the water heater leaning at a scary angle, barely hanging on by one sad little bracket. Um, lesson learned: don't skimp on hardware. Anyone else had a close call with home DIY gone wrong?
