Totally agree on the duct tape thing—been there, done that, regretted it. A few months back I tried one of those cheap low-flow showerheads thinking I'd save water... ended up standing there forever just trying to rinse off soap. Felt like it defeated the whole purpose. Curious though, has anyone found a brand that's actually decent? I'm still experimenting with fixtures and haven't landed on one I really like yet.

I get your frustration, but honestly, I've found that not all low-flow showerheads are created equal. The cheaper models often sacrifice pressure, making showers feel endless. However, some mid-range brands specifically designed to maintain water pressure—like Delta's H2Okinetic or Kohler's Forte series—actually provide a decent experience. They're pricier upfront but worth it long-term. I'd suggest giving one of these a try before completely writing off low-flow options.

Yeah, I used to think low-flow meant low-pressure too, but after switching to a decent model (think it was a Kohler?), showers got way better. Still saves water without feeling like you're stuck forever rinsing off soap...might be worth another shot.

I've been thinking about switching to a better low-flow showerhead too, but honestly, aren't there other ways to save water that might be less hassle? Like fixing leaks or using shorter cycles on the washer? I tried one of those eco-friendly showerheads once and it felt like forever rinsing shampoo out of my hair...maybe it was just a cheap model though. Did you notice any difference in temperature consistency with the Kohler? That's another thing I'm cautious about.

Yeah, sounds like you definitely got stuck with a dud. Quality low-flow heads these days are miles better—brands like Kohler or Delta keep pressure decent without the endless rinse cycle. Leaks are obvious fixes, but honestly, a good showerhead swap is minimal hassle for solid savings. Temperature consistency shouldn't be an issue if your plumbing's in decent shape...usually that's more about your water heater or valve than the head itself.
