So, my old toilet is officially on its last legs (or should I say seat? lol). Anyway, I've been looking into replacing it and I'm kinda stuck between two options. Option one: buy the toilet myself from Home Depot or wherever and try to install it myself. Watched a couple YouTube vids, doesn't seem impossible, but I'm not exactly Mr. Handy either. Option two: just bite the bullet and hire a plumber to do the whole thing. Obviously, that's gonna cost more, but at least I won't flood my bathroom or something.
I'm leaning towards DIY because saving money sounds great right now, but then again... plumbing disasters aren't exactly cheap either, you know? Has anyone here done their own toilet replacement? Was it worth the hassle or did you regret not just paying someone else to deal with it?
