Had this issue lately where my bidet was either trickling sadly or blasting like it wanted revenge. Turns out the little valve under the seat was partially clogged with mineral buildup. Took it apart, soaked it in vinegar for an hour, quick scrub with an old toothbrush, and boom—back to comfy pressure. Pretty satisfying fix, honestly. Curious if anyone else has some bidet hacks or maintenance tips they've discovered...

Vinegar is seriously underrated for stuff like this—it's basically the duct tape of plumbing. Had a similar issue myself, except mine was more of a surprise ice-cold blast every morning (talk about waking up fast). Ended up installing one of those inline sediment filters on the water line; haven't had buildup issues since. Wonder if anyone's tried filters or water softeners specifically for their bidets...worth it or overkill?

Vinegar's handy for sure, but I'd be cautious about calling it the duct tape of plumbing. It's great for minor mineral buildup, but if you're dealing with serious sediment or pressure issues, vinegar alone might not cut it. Inline sediment filters are definitely helpful, but water softeners specifically for a bidet might be a bit much. Most bidets aren't really designed to handle softened water long-term—it can sometimes affect internal seals and components.

If you're consistently getting that firehose effect, I'd first check your home's water pressure. A simple pressure gauge from the hardware store can tell you if you're running too high (anything over 80 psi is usually trouble). Installing a pressure regulator valve could save you from bigger plumbing headaches down the road. Also, double-check the bidet's internal valve or nozzle—sometimes debris gets stuck there, causing uneven spray.

Just my two cents...better safe than sorry when it comes to plumbing.
