I get where you’re coming from, but honestly, I’m not convinced that tweaking the tank or swapping out valves always solves it. Some toilets just don’t have a strong half flush, no matter what you do.
For me, having to flush twice kind of defeats the purpose of saving water. I ended up replacing my dual-flush with a pressure-assisted model—uses a bit more per flush, but it actually works every time. Sometimes the design just isn’t up to the job.“Personally, I’d rather deal with an occasional second flush than waste water every single time.”
