Careful with the bleach solution—yeah, it knocks back the bacteria temporarily, but bleach can be pretty harsh on sump pump seals and components over time. I've seen pumps fail prematurely from regular bleach use. Might be worth looking into enzyme-based cleaners or bacterial treatments instead. They're gentler on equipment and can actually break down the slime rather than just masking it temporarily...
