Last weekend our basement decided to become a mini swimming pool, and of course the sump pump picked that exact moment to stop working. I spent half the day knee-deep in water trying to figure out if it was clogged or if the float switch had gone rogue. Ended up jerry-rigging it temporarily with some duct tape and a prayer, lol. Wondering if anyone else has had their sump pump randomly quit at the worst possible time and how you handled it?
