Okay, so the last big storm we had, my backyard basically turned into a mini lake. I'm talking ducks could've moved in and been right at home. 😅 It got me thinking about how everyone else deals with heavy rain runoff around their homes or neighborhoods.
I've seen some neighbors putting in rain barrels to catch water from gutters, and another friend mentioned planting certain shrubs and grasses that soak up water better. I even heard someone talking about permeable paving for driveways—didn't even know that was a thing until recently.
