Okay, random thought here...imagine you're a city worker checking out sewer lines with one of those remote camera things, right? You're just casually watching the screen, sipping your coffee, when suddenly you spot something weird—like REALLY weird—in the footage. Something that shouldn't be down there. What could it be, and what happens next? I'm thinking mystery vibes, maybe slightly spooky or funny, dunno...any ideas?

Haha, that's actually a pretty cool scenario. Reminds me of when I had to snake my own drain last summer—thought I'd found some kind of alien life form, turned out to be just a massive clump of roots and hair. Gross, but mystery solved.

But seriously, your idea has potential. Imagine the camera picks up something shiny, like an old pocket watch or a piece of jewelry that clearly shouldn't be down there. Maybe engraved initials or a date that leads to some local unsolved mystery or missing person case from decades ago. Could be spooky without going full horror, you know? Or if you want funny, maybe it's something totally random like a perfectly intact garden gnome just chilling down there. How'd it get there? Who knows, but now the city worker can't stop thinking about it.

Either way, you've got a fun setup. I'd definitely read that story.

Haha, the garden gnome idea cracked me up...reminds me of when we tore out our old bathroom vanity and found a perfectly preserved rubber ducky wedged behind it. Still wonder how long it'd been hiding there.
