Manual drills are fine, but realistically, how many tenants actually remember that stuff months later? Maybe investing in a few cheap leak detectors placed strategically would be more reliable... thoughts?

You're onto something there—manual drills are great in theory, but I've seen firsthand how quickly people forget under stress. Leak detectors are a solid move; they're cheap, effective, and give everyone peace of mind. Worth every penny, honestly.

You're spot-on about leak detectors being a smart investment. I've seen plenty of homeowners who swear they'll remember the shut-off procedure, but when water's spraying everywhere, panic sets in and logic goes out the window. Leak detectors buy you precious time and clarity in those chaotic moments. Plus, they're simple enough that even non-tech-savvy folks can handle them without trouble. Honestly, it's one of those rare cases where prevention really is cheaper (and easier) than the cure...

Couldn't agree more—panic mode is real. I once watched my neighbor frantically twist every knob under his sink except the shut-off valve... Leak detectors are lifesavers, and bonus points: they help avoid wasting water, too. Win-win.

Leak detectors are definitely helpful, but honestly, nothing beats knowing exactly where your shut-off valves are beforehand. Had a customer once who called me in a panic because water was spraying everywhere—turns out they'd stacked boxes right in front of the main valve and completely forgot it existed. Took us forever to clear the area and finally shut it off. Lesson learned: keep those valves accessible, folks... it'll save you stress (and money) down the line.
