"Honestly though, if your disposal's making weird noises, might wanna double-check nothing sneaky fell down there first...speaking from experience here."

Haha, can confirm—once found a rogue teaspoon down mine. Also, baking soda and vinegar are great for smells, but won't fix mechanical jams. Might wanna try manually turning the blades underneath with an Allen wrench if it keeps acting up.

Had a similar scare myself once—turned out to be a sneaky bottle cap that somehow slipped down unnoticed. Definitely second the Allen wrench trick; saved me from calling a plumber more than once. Just make sure you unplug or cut power first...I always triple-check that part, probably overly cautious, but better safe than sorry. Good luck getting your sink monster back in line!

Haha, I feel you on the triple-checking thing. I once had a similar issue—my sink monster was growling and sputtering like crazy. After poking around nervously with an Allen wrench (which, yeah, is a lifesaver), I found out it wasn't even something solid like a bottle cap. Turned out to be a bunch of fibrous celery strings wrapped around the blades. Who knew celery could cause such chaos?

Anyway, after carefully unplugging everything (twice...maybe three times?), I spent a good half-hour pulling out those stubborn veggie fibers. Lesson learned: garbage disposals aren't fans of stringy veggies. Now I toss stuff like celery and asparagus ends straight into compost instead.

Hope yours is just as simple to fix—sink monsters can be temperamental little beasts sometimes...

Haha, celery strings are sneaky little troublemakers for sure. I've seen tenants jam up disposals with everything from potato peels to coffee grounds—it's amazing what people think these things can handle. Honestly, disposals aren't nearly as tough as they seem. Best advice I ever got was "if you wouldn't chew it yourself, don't feed it to the sink monster." Glad yours was an easy fix though...fingers crossed for the OP!

Haha, love this advice—spot on. Honestly, disposals give people a false sense of security. I always remind tenants it's safer (and cheaper!) to toss scraps in the trash than risk a plumbing headache later...hope yours clears up soon, OP.
