Disposal runs, but the sink still drains slowly
A disposal can sound normal and still leave a slow-draining sink, so I’m curious how you’d narrow down where the restriction is. Does the basin drain slowly with the disposal switched off as well as when it’s running? Would backup in the other sink basin or at the dishwasher point more toward a blockage farther along the shared drain?
What checks are safe before opening or disconnecting any plumbing? I’d like to distinguish a problem in the disposal chamber from one downstream without assuming that running the disposal will clear a drain clog.
