Never had much luck with the socked pipe either. Tried it once in a clay-heavy spot—ended up just as clogged as the regular stuff, maybe even quicker. Honestly, I stick with gravel, fabric, and patience. Costs a bit more upfront, but I’d rather dig once than twice.

Yeah, I get that. I’ve seen socked pipe clog up fast in heavy clay too—just turns into a muddy mess. Gravel and fabric might take more effort, but at least you know it’s gonna last. Digging up a clogged line is the worst... better safe than sorry.
