Yeah, I've installed a few of those air-injection shower heads, and honestly, they're pretty impressive. Had a customer who swore she'd never switch from her old high-pressure head, but after trying one of these newer models, she was sold. Still, aerators are such an easy win—cheap and quick. Makes me wonder though, has anyone compared actual water bills before and after installing these fancy shower heads? Curious if the savings justify the upfront cost...

Good question—I did a rough comparison at my place last year. Installed an air-injection shower head in the master bath and aerators on all faucets. Honestly, the faucet aerators gave a more noticeable drop in water usage right away, probably because we use sinks way more often throughout the day. Shower head savings were there too, but took longer to really add up. I'd say aerators are your quick win, shower heads are more of a long-term play...

I've done similar comparisons across several rental properties, and honestly, shower heads usually make a bigger dent in my experience. Couple reasons why:

- Tenants often leave faucets running briefly, but showers run continuously for 5-15 min at a time.
- Families or multiple tenants sharing bathrooms multiply the shower water savings significantly.
- Faucet aerators help, sure, but the real noticeable savings on bills came after upgrading several shower heads.

Just my two cents based on tracking water bills over the years...

Totally agree on shower heads being the bigger saver. Switched mine out a couple years ago and saw a decent drop in the water bill pretty quick. Aerators help too, but showers just guzzle way more water overall...especially with teenagers in the house, lol.

Yeah, I've been debating this myself since moving into my first home. Good to hear about your experience with shower heads—makes sense when you think about how long showers can run, especially with teens around. I was leaning towards aerators because they're cheaper and easier to install, but now I'm reconsidering. Maybe I'll start with the shower head and see how it goes... seems like a bigger bang for the buck overall. Thanks for sharing your experience, definitely helpful.
