Had a pipe burst under the sink last night—water everywhere, total nightmare. Couldn't get a plumber right away, so I remembered this trick my dad showed me ages ago: wrapped the leak tight with duct tape, then secured it with a hose clamp. Not pretty, but it held up overnight till help arrived. Curious if anyone else has clever hacks for sudden leaks or plumbing disasters...

That's a solid temporary fix, duct tape can really be a lifesaver sometimes. Another handy trick I've used is wrapping the leak tightly with a piece of bicycle inner tube before clamping—it gives a bit more flexibility and seals surprisingly well till the plumber arrives.
