Looking at redoing some plumbing in my home soon-ish and figured it'd be smart to check out eco-friendly options. Anyone tried something that's good for the environment but doesn't empty your wallet completely? Um, bonus points if it's DIY-able lol.
I've looked into this myself recently, and one thing I'd cautiously recommend is installing low-flow fixturesβespecially showerheads and faucets. They're pretty affordable and straightforward to DIY, even if you're not a plumbing expert. Just make sure you don't overtighten fittings or skip the plumber's tape, as leaks can quickly undo your savings. Have you considered greywater recycling setups? I've read they're eco-friendly, but I'm still researching how practical and safe they are for DIY installation...
