Been thinking about how much water I waste in the kitchen, especially waiting for hot water or rinsing dishes. Curious—do you guys actively try to save water at the sink or is it not really on your radar?

I've definitely thought about this issue before. A few months back, I installed an under-sink recirculation pump—it basically cycles the cold water sitting in your hot water pipes back into the heater, so when you turn on the tap, hot water arrives almost instantly. It was a bit of an upfront investment, but I've noticed a significant drop in wasted water since then. Another simpler method I've tried is keeping a container handy to catch the initial cold water while waiting for it to warm up—then using that collected water for plants or cleaning.

One thing I wonder about though: has anyone here experimented with faucet aerators or flow restrictors? I've read they can reduce water usage without sacrificing pressure, but I'm curious if they're actually effective in daily kitchen tasks like rinsing dishes or filling pots...
