Had a similar issue with lint buildup... ended up swapping to a mesh filter after my first DIY filter failed miserably. Lesson learned the hard way, haha. Still, greywater setup has been a solid upgrade overall—definitely worth the minor headaches.

Haha, been there myself... DIY filters can be tricky. Did you notice any change in water flow after switching to mesh? Curious if it clogs less often or needs more frequent cleaning.

I've had similar experiences—mesh filters definitely help with clogging issues, but I've noticed they can slightly reduce water pressure over time. Regular cleaning every couple of weeks usually keeps it running smoothly though... worth the minor hassle for reliability.

Yeah, I get what you're saying about mesh filters—definitely helps with clogging, but honestly, the pressure drop can be pretty noticeable after a while. I've found myself scrubbing them more often than I'd like, especially if your water has lots of minerals. Still, compared to dealing with bigger plumbing issues down the line, it's probably worth the trade-off. Just wish there was a less tedious option out there...

Yeah, mesh filters definitely help, but the pressure drop drives me nuts too. I switched to one of those spin-down sediment filters recently—pretty easy to flush out without dismantling the whole thing. Not perfect, but way less hassle than scrubbing mesh screens all the time. Still figuring it out though... homeownership's a constant learning curve for sure.
