Had this annoying issue lately where my bathroom sink was draining super slow. Like, brushing my teeth turned into a mini swimming pool situation, you know? Anyway, I didn't wanna call a plumber just yet (because $$$), and those chemical drain cleaners always kinda freak me outβplus, heard they're pretty harsh on pipes.
So I did some googling and found this DIY tip that actually worked surprisingly well. Basically, you pour about half a cup of baking soda down the drain, then follow it with about a cup of vinegar. It bubbles up like crazy (kinda satisfying to watch, honestly). Waited about 15-20 mins, then poured boiling water down after. Had to repeat it once more, but after that second round, the drain cleared right up. No more mini sink pool!
I mean, it's probably not gonna work miracles if you've got like a major clog or something really stuck down there, but for everyday buildup of soap and toothpaste and whatever else gets down there, it seems pretty solid.
Curious if anyone else has tried this method or maybe has another trick up their sleeve? Always good to have a few backup plans for next time...
