Yeah, tell me about it. Just bought my first house last year, and already had two backups. Hydro jetting cleared things up for now, but I'm worried it's just a band-aid fix. Anyone here tried pipe lining? Curious if it's worth the extra cost compared to just biting the bullet and replacing the pipes altogether.

Pipe lining can be solid, but honestly, if your pipes are older or badly damaged, it might just delay the inevitable. Had mine lined two years agoβ€”still ended up replacing sections later. Sometimes biting the bullet early saves headaches down the road...

Yeah, lining can be hit or miss depending on the situation. Had a similar experience with one of my older propertiesβ€”thought I'd save time and money, but ended up replacing pipes anyway. Sometimes it's just better to tackle it head-on and get it over with... Hang in there.

I'm starting to wonder if lining is ever really worth it. When I bought my place, the inspector mentioned lining as a cheaper fix, but I've heard so many mixed reviews since then. Seems like a temporary band-aid more than anything else. Maybe it's better to bite the bullet and replace the pipes outright? Sure, it's pricier upfront, but at least you won't be stuck dealing with the same headache again in a year or two...

Had the same debate last year when my basement drain turned into Old Faithful... Went with lining to save cash, and guess whatβ€”here I am, planning a full replacement anyway. Lesson learned: shortcuts usually mean double the headaches later.
