Marking up photos is a great idea—definitely saves confusion later. I tried albums too, but honestly, just naming the pics something quick like "bathroom sink leak" or "basement valve replace" works better for me. Easier to search later if needed...assuming I remember what I called them!

I tried naming pics too, but half the time I forget what keyword I used later. Now I just snap a quick pic and scribble notes directly on it—saved me from guessing pipe sizes more than once...

Snapping pics and scribbling notes works, but honestly, I prefer keeping a dedicated notebook nearby. Phones die or get wet, and paper's recyclable—plus, flipping pages feels quicker than scrolling through endless photos...just my two cents.

Ha, true enough...but notebooks aren't exactly waterproof either. Learned that the hard way under a leaky sink. Pro tip: ziplock bags are your friend—cheap waterproofing for notes and phone alike.

Ziplocks are definitely handy in a pinch, though I've found they can get slippery when wet, making them tricky to handle with damp hands. Personally, I prefer laminating key reference pages—it's durable and wipes clean easily. Have you noticed if certain brands of ziplocks hold up better than others under repeated use? Curious if anyone's tested their limits over time...
