Woke up this morning to no water, and yep, pipes are frozen solid. Spent half the day with a hairdryer trying to thaw them out...not fun. Has this happened to anyone else? How'd you handle it?

Yeah, hairdryers work, but they're painfully slow. If you've got access, space heaters aimed at the pipes can speed things up a bit—just keep an eye on them so nothing overheats. Also, once you get the water flowing again, leave a trickle running overnight; it sounds wasteful, but it really helps prevent refreezing. Ever figure out where the pipes froze exactly? Sometimes insulating that spot can save you future headaches...
