- Glad you sorted it before things got messy. I'm still getting used to my boiler, and honestly, it makes me nervous.
- I'm always double-checking fittings and valves, paranoid about leaks or pressure issues...
- Question for those who've been through this: is installing a leak detector worth it, or am I just being overly cautious? I'd rather be safe than sorry, but don't want to waste money if they're unreliable.

- Leak detectors can be handy, especially if you're not around the property all the time. I've had mixed experiences though—some work great, others give false alarms and drive tenants nuts.
- Honestly, regular maintenance and visual checks usually catch most issues before they escalate.
- Curious though, has anyone here actually had a leak detector save them from a major disaster? Would love to hear if they're genuinely worth the hassle...

I get why leak detectors seem appealing, but honestly, I'm still on the fence. Had one installed under my kitchen sink after a minor drip turned into a pricey cabinet replacement. Thought it'd save me next time...but nope, false alarms galore. Ended up unplugging it after a month. Regular checks and staying on top of maintenance has worked better for me—cheaper too. Maybe pricier models are more reliable though? Curious if anyone's found a detector that's actually worth the extra cash.

Had similar issues with cheaper detectors—way too sensitive. Switched to a pricier Wi-Fi model (think it was Moen Flo?), and it's been solid. Alerts only when there's an actual issue, saved me from a basement flood once already. Worth the extra cash imo.
