Good catch on the condensate pipe—seen that issue plenty of times myself. Manuals can save a lot of headaches, especially when troubleshooting safety lockouts. Glad you got it sorted without bigger issues cropping up... boilers aren't forgiving when things go wrong.

Yeah, condensate pipes are sneaky like that—easy to overlook until they cause trouble. One thing I've learned the hard way is keeping an eye on the pressure relief valve discharge pipe too. Had one tenant complain about dripping water outside, turned out the expansion vessel was shot, pressure kept rising, and the valve was doing its job. Ever had issues with expansion vessels or pressure creeping up slowly over time? That's another boiler headache waiting to happen...

Totally agree, pressure creeping up slowly is a sneaky one. Have you noticed if topping up the system too often can mask expansion vessel issues? Makes me wonder how many times I've missed early signs without realizing it...

Yeah, that's spot on. When I first moved into my place, I kept topping up the boiler pressure thinking it was just normal maintenance. Turns out, I was just hiding a failing expansion vessel. By the time I realized, it was completely waterlogged and needed replacing—lesson learned the hard way. Definitely pays to keep an eye on how often you're refilling... could save you some hassle down the line.

Yeah, you're definitely onto something there. I've seen plenty of cases where folks just keep topping up without realizing they're masking a deeper issue. Expansion vessels can be sneaky like that—especially if the pressure seems to hold okay for a bit. Another thing worth checking is if the pressure relief valve is dripping occasionally; sometimes that's the first clue something's up. Boilers can be tricky beasts... always something new to learn, right?
