So I was scrolling through my news feed yesterday and stumbled across this bizarre local news story. Apparently, some guy had been hearing weird noises from his bathroom sink for weeksβlike gurgling and bubbling sounds, you know? He ignored it at first (as we all probably would, lol), but eventually called a plumber when the sink started backing up.
Turns out, the plumber found a MASSIVE root system growing right through the pipes under his house. Like, tree roots had completely invaded and blocked everything up. The photos were wild...it looked like something from a sci-fi movie or something.
Anyway, it got me wondering how common this actually is. I've had slow drains before but never anything that dramatic. Has anyone else ever dealt with roots or other weird stuff clogging their drains? Curious if this is just a freak incident or more common than I thought.
