What should a drain-snake rental quote include?

A low rental rate is hard to compare if the cable or cutting head needed for the job is charged separately. What details should a rental quote spell out before someone takes home a hand auger or powered drain machine?

I’d want to know whether the quoted cable suits the drain’s size and length, what extra cables or attachments cost, and how damage is handled. It’d also be useful to understand what safety guidance comes with the rental and when the machine has to be returned. Which of those terms are easy to overlook when comparing quotes?

I’d put the included cable and head - and the price of any needed extras - ahead of the headline rate. A low base price isn’t much of a bargain if the quoted setup won’t suit the drain and the workable option costs more than expected.
