Good points about the faucets—I hadn't thought about mineral buildup causing sensor issues. Do you think installing a water softener would help cut down on those problems, or is it mostly unavoidable electronics wear and tear? Curious if anyone's tried that route...

Honestly, a water softener might help a bit, but I doubt it'd completely solve the sensor issues. Electronics just seem prone to glitches over time, regardless of water quality. Maybe simpler manual faucets are the real budget-friendly solution here...

I've wondered about that too—are manual faucets really the simpler fix? I installed sensor faucets in our guest bathroom thinking they'd be great for hygiene and convenience, but honestly, they've been a bit temperamental. Even after adding a water softener, they still randomly glitch out. Maybe it's just the nature of electronics around moisture? Curious if anyone's had better luck with specific brands or setups...

Haha, I feel your pain! When we moved into our first home, I was determined to make everything as futuristic and touchless as possible—felt like living in a sci-fi movie. But reality hit pretty quickly when our fancy sensor faucet started randomly turning on at 2 AM. Nothing like a ghostly faucet serenade to test your nerves...

I've since switched back to manual in the main bathroom, and honestly, it's been a relief. Less troubleshooting, fewer midnight scares, and no more awkward hand-waving dances just to get water flowing. But now I'm wondering if maybe I just picked the wrong brand or setup initially. Has anyone tried pairing these sensor faucets with some kind of moisture-resistant housing or sealant to protect the electronics better? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

I've had similar issues with sensor faucets, and honestly, I think you're onto something with moisture being the culprit. We tried sealing ours up a bit better with silicone caulk around the battery compartment, but it only helped temporarily. Eventually, the glitches came back—just less frequently.

Haha, exactly! After waking up to that spooky sound a few times, we just went back to good old-fashioned handles. Less fancy, but way more reliable and budget-friendly too.
